First Friday July celebrates freedom

Join us downtown to celebrate summer and freedom during First Friday July!

Free activities are planned throughout downtown from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 5, as part of Freedom Friday. The monthly event will be held in conjunction with the Haynes Apperson Festival this year so come join the party downtown!

Here’s some of the planned activities:
• Artworks Gallery will have its Railroad Photography Exhibit by Chris Burger. They’ll also have a scavenger hunt. Find patriotic rocks throughout the gallery
• The Carpenters Union will have a nailing wall and information about its August build.
• Starting at 10 p.m., The Coterie will have live music by The Jeff Ware Band and Tommy Icarus.
• The Girl Scouts will have a bake sale.
• First Baptist Church will be giving out free hot dogs.
• At Fired Arts Studio, you have paint a 6-inch flag tile for $8 with no studio fee
• The IU Kokomo Downtown Gallery will have its Small Works Exhibit on display
