First Friday presents Main Street Mystery

The community is invited to put its detective skills to the test as First Friday presents “Main Street Mystery” on Friday, Nov. 2.

Sure this month’s event downtown will start out as joyous as any other, but that will change when a crime scene is discovered on the Courthouse Square. The crowds will gather to search for clues and discuss the case with a number of suspects.

In this real-life game of Clue, in partnership with Kokomo Civic Theatre, live characters will be at venues around downtown to talk with guests. By visiting participating First Friday venues, guests can examine clues and hear from suspects, and then they’ll make their guesses about the culprit and his or her murder weapon.

All suspects will be played by Kokomo Civic Theatre actors. After a thorough investigation and help from First Friday guests, Detective Friday — Kokomo Police Department Capt. Kevin Summers — will arrest the perpetrator at 8 p.m. on the Courthouse Square and then hold a press conference on the Courthouse steps to reveal the facts of the case.

Guests who collect all the clues and make a guess must have their map turned in by 8 p.m. at the information booth located at the corner of Main and Walnut streets to be eligible for a prize.

There will be much more happening all around downtown during First Friday November. Check back at for more details to come!
